Communications work in the local church is so important! Know someone who would fit well as a Church Communications Director? Is your church developing this position? Learn more here!

Recently I met a new friend. Sharp guy. Experienced professional. Loves the Lord. AND ... he's considering a career change. He's pondering and praying about a communications leadership role in a local church.

I love it! I love it!

Can you sense my excitement? Are you wondering why I'm so excited?

Here's why:

1. Churches have the greatest message (God's story of love and forgiveness!) to tell. So we need sharp, creative people using their communications gifts to lead within the local church. More sharp, creative people serving within a church leads to greater ministry and impact.

2. I see a growing community. More and more professionals - with passionate hearts for ministry - are pursuing a career path of leading communications in the local church. As this community of leaders grows, there is more and more networking, idea sharing and encouragement. More support for these professionals is a win for everyone!

3. Communications work in the local church is incredibly challenging and some of the most significant work a person can do! When I meet people who are pursuing a calling to serve in this area, I get excited about how they will be impacted personally and then how this will impact their families, friends and others.

Communications work in the local church is sacrifice. It leads to gratitude. It is humility. It leads to peace. It is opportunity. It leads to joy.
