Web Development and Branding & Identity: A look back at 2015. Here is a sampling of the work our Fishhook team was privileged to be a part of in 2015.

With each new year, I often find myself looking back and reflecting on the year that passed. What was good, what was not great, what could I do better, where did God come through in big ways, etc? And 2016 is no different. 2015 was quite a year! At Fishhook, we changed, we grew and God kept providing work that He wanted us to be a part of.

I work pretty closely with our web team. I was the supervisor of the Geek Squad many moons ago (imagine me pushing my glasses back up onto my nose), and so I find launching a website fascinating. I could never write code and apply CSS styling, but I do at least understand and appreciate the jargon. I also appreciate our web team because they CAN write code and apply CSS styling. They've done their fair share of it this past year, and I'm proud of the websites that we helped our clients launch.

We also have a pretty incredible design team. Once again, I am not a designer and never pretend I am, but my eye appreciates beautiful, clean and well-thought-out design. I'm constantly amazed by the thoughtful designs our team comes up with.

In the spirit of Ta-Da, we want to celebrate the work that has been created by our Fishhook team members and carried out by our clients.

Here is a sampling of the projects we were privileged to be a part of in 2015:

We worked closely with Greentree to brand their church and children's and students' ministries as they were getting ready to move into a brand new building. With the update of their brand, we helped them implement a new website, signage and even a generosity initiative.

We have partnered with College Park Church for many years, so it was very exciting to implement a new web project with them this past year. They have a lot of great content they wanted to share with newcomers and members of their congregation. We created their new content-rich site to remain clean and easy to navigate.

Lakeside's DNA is unique, and they needed a way to communicate that to the world. We worked with them on a new custom website that shows the warmth and approachability they have as a church.

We partnered with Mount Pleasant on a new custom website. The goal of the project was to help them tell the story of their church and community outreach in a beautiful and functional way.

We offered strategic coaching for Covenant staff and volunteer leaders as they formed a new communications ministry team and refined their calling and identity as a church. We also had the privilege of developing their new brand and helping them launch a fresh, easy-to-use website.

Church leaders were eager to update their communications and technology efforts to be as relevant as possible for building engagement with their current church audiences and reaching out in new ways to younger audiences. A new brand, refreshed tagline, new website and other updated communications tools have built momentum at Eastern Star Church's multiple church locations and the surrounding community.

Aiming to strategically communicate about who they are and their "open for you" invitation to all, St. Luke's worked with our team to refresh their brand and launch a new website. In addition, we worked with their children's and youth ministries to develop a sub-brand and materials for the church's curriculum that guides children and families from birth to young adult.

It was a joy to partner with leaders at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and School to walk through a communications assessment. Then, once changes were being made based on our recommendations, we were able to very easily guide them through a branding process for their church and school. We then helped them share their story with a website that could be used for both of their audiences.

St. John is constantly reevaluating how they engage with their audience to make sure they are connecting with them in the most effective ways possible. In our latest partnership with their team, we gave their website a refresh that would help them have the tools they need to engage.
