What if churches all around Indianapolis combined forces to spread hope?

Churches across central Indiana have been working tirelessly to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people during the coronavirus pandemic. From sharing stories of hope and inspiration, to weekly opportunities for prayer, to area pastors coming together to purchase masks for frontline workers, you’ve inspired our team by the way you’re serving others.

Now, it’s our turn to serve you.

Our team is launching a new campaign called Hope for Indy. Hope for Indy is a digital awareness campaign to celebrate, gather and elevate the message of hope from churches.

Our goal is to be a megaphone for the good you are doing. We want to flood social media and the news with your stories of hope.

We believe there is a momentous opportunity for churches around our city to speak as one. To show the people of central Indiana that our top priority is people. That we are here. We are one. We care. And we want to bring peace, hope and resources to the city.

Stand against racism and violence

The Hope for Indy Network wholeheartedly believes every single person, regardless of the color of his or her skin, is created in the image of God and worthy of love and belonging. Yet the injustice of racism, violence and even indifference to racial injustice is still very real in our country.

It’s more important than ever for a unified voice among churches to stand against racism and violence and to work with community leaders, public officials and other churches on lasting change. Churches can and will be a healing force of good going forward, and we will continue to support them as they share a message of hope and serve their communities in the weeks and months ahead.

We encourage you to use these social graphics in conjunction with action. We don't just want to tell people we are here, we want to show them what we're doing to combat racism and to bring justice for all people.

Join in!

Here’s how your church can be part of this city-wide campaign:

Step 1: Join the movement
Start by filling out the form. We’ll add you to our list of participating churches and send you all the Hope for Indy social media graphics and talking points.

Step 2: Share the hope!
Use the Hope for Indy social graphics and share a story of hope or message of encouragement (or two or three!). Encourage your congregation to share your posts and help us flood social media with a unified message of hope and peace from churches across our city.

Step 3: Stay connected
One of our main goals is to help churches stay connected with each other. You can see the list of current projects led by Hope For Indy churches in the form. If you have an idea for how you'd like to partner with other churches around the city, let us know!

Our role is to serve you! Our goal is to be a megaphone for your stories and the good you are doing. We created the brand and key messaging and will continue to add resources to make sure your stories of hope are heard.

Through social media advertising and media relations.

The kick-off is Sunday, May 3, but our hope is that it continues after that. We’d love for your church to keep posting stories of hope and tagging us or using the hashtag #hopeforindy. We will continue to communicate with you as new resources for this campaign are available.

That's up to all of you. We want this group of churches to be a resource for each other to share stories of hope, make decisions and pray together. We'd love to hear from you what would be most helpful.
