I left without fanfare, was silent on social media, and for 16 days I traveled to, through and home from Israel. I traveled as a learner and leader, a doubter and disciple, follower and a friend.
People ask, “How was your trip?”
It’s a simple and nearly impossible question to answer. I have a selection of short answers to choose from, including:
Upon my return to Fishhook, I was asked, “Hey, can you write something for the blog?” Of course I said, “Yes!” And then came the actual writing.
Only one thing comes to mind that I should share first: God is faithful. Utterly powerful and unendingly faithful. I learned - most of all - that Christ came because we needed a rescuer. He is proclaimed. He came. He has done the rescuing. There is nothing we can add. God is faithful in this and all things.
For sure, my favorite things to share about the trip are in response to the specific questions people ask me. So, dear readers, let me ask you, “What would you like to know about my Israel adventure?" I’m happy to share, either here or over coffee. Ask away. I can’t wait.
