Every now and then, a team comes along that makes us want to lean in a bit more, think a little deeper and thank God again for the kind of people He puts in His Church.
That’s how we feel about the team at Hosanna Church.
Hosanna’s vision is big, clear and rooted in their mission to be a church that humbly and boldly looks more like Jesus by multiplying His hope and heartbeat. And from where we sit, that vision is not just something they have written down ... it is lived out by leaders who are thoughtful, strategic, deeply committed and moving after that vision with clarity and conviction.
We’ve had the joy of coming alongside the Hosanna team through several projects - an ongoing monthly support retainer, brand experience work, discipleship pathway strategy, vision and generosity naming and now a full website refresh. In all of it, we’ve seen a team that cares deeply about doing meaningful work with excellence.
So this round of Honorary Fishhooker of the Every Other Month is a little different. We’re honoring not just one amazing person, but three.
Jenn Alexander. Meagan McIntosh. Anna McKenzie.
And honestly? What a crew!
Jenn is part of the leadership team at Hosanna Church, serving as Executive Pastor of Brand Development and on the Preaching Team. From Fishhook’s side, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with her as we’ve helped support Hosanna’s brand, communications and future-facing ministry strategy. She brings clarity, momentum and vision to every conversation.
Jenn is Skilz + Jesus all the way! Though she also brings a healthy dose of encouragement along with her strategic firepower. She has the kind of energy that lifts a room and moves people forward. She is not just dreaming about what could be. She is helping people believe it, name it and run after it.
Jenn is the kind of leader who brings both heart and a can do spirit. She has a ton of energy, a strong sense of direction and the ability to help vision feel actionable. She carries leadership presence in a way that is compelling, but never feels disconnected from people.
And beyond all of that, as part of Hosanna’s teaching team, she has genuinely inspired us in our own walks with Jesus. We kind of fan girl her, if we’re being honest. Jenn has a way of communicating truth that is memorable and deeply stirring. She's thoughtful, Spirit-led and the kind of teacher who says something on a Sunday that stays with you on a Tuesday.
Vision casting. Brand leadership inside a church context. How to keep momentum around big-picture ministry direction. How preaching and communication work together to shape culture. And honestly, how to lead with conviction and clarity without losing the human side of the work. (And maybe how to work alongside her husband, the Lead Pastor.)
Jenn’s impact reaches beyond Hosanna because she models something the Church needs more of: leadership that is energized, strategic and deeply aligned around mission. She helps show that brand and communication work are not surface-level efforts. They are ministry tools that can help people understand who a church is, where it is going and how to take a meaningful next step.
Meagan serves as Hosanna’s Director of Communications & Digital Engagement, which means many of the strategy, messaging and digital conversations we’ve had with Hosanna naturally intersect with her leadership. She is one of the people helping ensure vision becomes communication people can actually see, feel and respond to.
Which of Fishhook’s core values or traits does Meagan most reflect?
Trustworthy feels right for Meagan. She is smart, steady and thoughtful in the way she leads. The kind of person you know is paying attention and carrying the weight of communication work with wisdom.
If you were describing Meagan to someone who has never met her, what would you say?
Meagan is sharp! She brings intelligence and intention to her work, but without making things feel overcomplicated. She seems like the kind of leader who can ask the right questions and help bring order and focus to the moving pieces.
If someone had an hour to spend with Meagan, what would you recommend they pick her brain about?
Church communications strategy. Digital engagement. And how to lead communication efforts in a way that is both smart and ministry-minded.
What has Meagan’s impact been on the Church at large?
Meagan represents a kind of communication leader the Church desperately needs: someone who understands that digital engagement is deeply important, and that clear communication helps real people connect, belong and grow. Her work helps make ministry more accessible, visible and cohesive, which is no small thing in today’s culture.
What is Anna’s connection with Fishhook?
Anna is Hosanna’s Graphic Designer and one of the ways we’ve specifically come alongside the Hosanna team is through ongoing creative support that includes design collaboration. She is part of the reason Hosanna’s communications and visual expression continue to move forward with consistency and care.
Which of Fishhook’s core values or traits does Anna most reflect?
Creative is the obvious one, but also Encouraging. Anna is not just talented she is also kind and gracious -- the type of person who makes collaboration feel easy. That matters more than people realize.
If you were describing Anna to someone who has never met her, what would you say?
Anna effortlessly bridges the gap between humility and skilz. She brings beauty, care and thoughtfulness to what she creates and to the people around her.
If someone had an hour to spend with Anna, what would you recommend they pick her brain about?
Designing for ministry. How to create visual work that feels both beautiful and useful. How to support a larger vision through everyday creative execution. And maybe also how to be the kind of teammate who makes the work better simply by the way you show up.
What has Anna’s impact been on the Church at large?
Anna’s impact is a reminder that good design is not extra. It is a form of hospitality. It helps people pay attention, understand what matters and experience a church’s message with more clarity and care.
Jenn, Meagan and Anna each bring something different to the table, but together they reflect something really special about the Hosanna team: vision, intelligence, care, execution and heart.
They are strategic. Thoughtful. Fully committed. And they run after the vision God has given their church like nobody’s business.
We’re grateful to know them, grateful to get to work alongside them and very happy to name them our latest Honorary Fishhookers of the Every Other Month. Hosanna team, you’re a gift!
