For the final part in our series, we're going Home for the Holidays with Meredith, Dalton and Anna!

Our team is going home for the holidays! Over the next few weeks, each Fishhooker will be reminiscing about our favorite traditions and memories that take place during the Christmas season. We hope you enjoy this stroll down memory lane! Merry Christmas!

Meredith: Decorating the Christmas tree has been one of my favorite Christmas traditions since I was a little girl. I love the lights, the bristly feeling of the branches, the soft sound of Christmas music playing in the background, and the memories evoked by so many of our ornaments — especially the hand-made ones. Now, my husband and I continue his own family tradition by finding a special ornament to mark each year of our life together.

Dalton: Every other year, my family makes a trip down to Texas where all my extended family lives. There’s something so special about being with the entire family on Christmas and that makes me excited for the season. Once we’re there, we have annual traditions of exchanging pajamas, driving around to see Christmas lights (they do it BIG in Texas), and eating together. Time spent together is my favorite part about Christmas.

Anna: My favorite Christmas tradition happens Christmas Day. After everyone wakes up and we enjoy our sugary breakfast, we draw numbers to see what order we’ll give our presents in! The person with #1 gives their presents out one at a time, then we read a short section of the Christmas story before the next person gives their gifts. I love how it makes the special day last even longer, and the joy of seeing everyone’s reactions to their presents!
