Thanks to everyone who joined us for our July Webinar! We had such a great time talking about web analytics and discussing ways in which we can use them to further visitor engagement. We hope you came away feeling confident in your ability to find and read the important numbers, as well as identify how those numbers can be used to gain momentum in your ministries.

If you missed it ...

Here are a few resources to help you begin analyzing your analytics:

Here's how to use analytics to implement change in your ministry:

  1. Only bring the most pertinent data to the table.
    • If you bring too much data to your leadership meeting, it could feel overwhelming and even cloud your overall mission or goals. Only bring the numbers with you that directly support what you’re asking for.
  2. Be specific about your goal and tie it back to one of the church’s overall goals.
    • This is just a good way to remind your leadership that the changes you want to make in communications efforts are still aiming to accomplish the church’s priorities. Connecting the resources you’re asking for to the mission of the church will show your leaders that you are all on the same team, working towards the same goals.
  3. Present more than one option to achieve your desired outcome.
    • Asking for resources like more time, people on your team or money can be difficult. So bring a couple options that will get you the same outcome. Bringing a small, medium and large budget option will help them see that you are truly thinking through the process and want their input.
