Last week we launched Fishhook University to the world! After a year of planning and praying over this new training endeavor, it's been amazing to finally be able to share it with all of you. We can't wait to get going in 2016! To start off, we wanted to give you some more information about what exactly Fishhook University is and what it means to us. 

Fishhook University was designed around the belief that the work of each of your church's team members has an impact on fulfilling your church's mission. The primary goal of all FHU products and programs is to help propel your church staff forward in their communications skills and strategies by teaching your team how to "catch more." 

The Basics 

• The purpose of Fishhook University is to guide church leaders toward greater impact through positive and purposeful learning experiences. 
• In 2016, Fishhook University will launch with TeamSpeak, a six-lesson series for general church staff/leaders who want to improve their communications confidence and competence. Fishhook will coach and support an onsite facilitator to guide their staff/volunteer team through a video-based series.
• TeamSpeak is for ALL staff members, not just staff who may specifically hold "communications" titles or responsibilities. 
• TeamSpeak will help your church experience better internal communications, evidenced by team members who are engaged, working together and knowledgeable about your church mission and goals.

The Beliefs

• We share our combined knowledge, professional experiences and tested methods in fun and memorable ways to help each student make progress.
• We recognize that while churches may share the same general mission, they each have an individual purpose and calling in their community. Fishhook University offers best practices that any church can apply while encouraging them to customize for their individual goals and size. 
• We believe continued learning is essential in all organizations, including churches and faith-based nonprofits. We recognize each student has the potential to learn, apply knowledge, develop skills and share what they have learned with others.
