At Fishhook, we talk a lot about believing in you and the work you do. The development of our Pinterest page has been no different. Though it's been an incredibly fun experience to build our boards and see our designers' graphics create beautiful color palettes, our vision goes beyond having something nice to look at. The 5 strategic reasons behind our pinning:

Our mission and vision behind developing a Fishhook Pinterest page.

At Fishhook, we believe in you and the work you do. Our prayer is always that each decision we make would strengthen our ability to help you "catch more."

The development of our Pinterest page is no different. Though it's been an incredibly fun experience to build our boards and see our designers' graphics create beautiful color palettes, our vision goes beyond having something nice to look at.

The 5 strategic reasons behind our pinning:

  1. Reaching beyond our "office"
    • When we create our content and our resources, our hope is never that they would strictly stay in our office or even on our website. Our goal is always that they would make their way into the hands of people who will find them helpful. Pinterest is an incredible conduit of that goal.
  2. Keeping our ear to the ground
    • One of the greatest benefits of using social media are the analytics and information we receive from it. Paying attention to what you are interested in and what matters to you helps us as we work to continue creating more content, resources and training programs that will be helpful to you in your work.
  3. Sharing our wins and losses
    • Each time we step into a new area of communications, it gives us experience to draw from in order to help you do the same. Using Pinterest will give us an opportunity to analyze what we've found works and what hasn't in order to create more content that will hopefully benefit you in being efficient and effective in your quest to reach your community.
  4. Having some fun
    • Let's be real. Browsing and pinning is fun, and if you can "pretend" it's for work, it's even more fun. Pinterest allows us to take our content and resources outside of the four walls of our business and place them in a world that lasts beyond office hours and desperate Google searches for the right sermon graphic. It allows us to meet people in a place where they can relax and have fun. It's a place where they can save content for later or simply appreciate a good graphic without having to worry about wasting minutes on something they aren't going to need for this week's weekend services.
  5. Curating a collection of helpful resources
    • Though our current Pinterest boards are primarily made up of Fishhook created content, we also plan to curate boards of other helpful resources we find along the way. Our main goal will always be to give you a place to find what is most helpful to you, whether that means resources, connections or simply taking a "short" social media break that turns into hours of pinning church communications tips, weekly meal plans, ways to reorganize your kitchen cabinets or GIFs of cats riding on Roombas. Wait ... what?

Follow, pin and let's help churches catch more!
