Most churches invest considerable resources into inviting and reaching new people. Once guests connect with your congregation, what is their experience like? For a newcomer, attending your church can feel like walking into someone else’s family reunion. How can you and your team help?

Join us on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 11 A.M.-1 P.M.

As a group, we’ll...

  • Examine the benefits of assessing your guest experience from start to finish.
  • Focus on five areas to improve in your guest experience.
  • Identify common “guest repellents” to help you avoid them.
  • Share some of our own wins and challenges.
  • Plus, we’ll offer some helpful training tips for those front line volunteers!

During The Table, you’ll get to take advantage of some of the training materials from our Fishhook University TeamSpeak course - at no cost! This material is fun and valuable for those in church communications but also for anyone staffing or volunteering in your first impressions/guest services area. Feel free to invite them to join you!

Do you give a newcomer gift?
If so, would you be willing to bring a sample of what you offer your guests? We’d love to create a display of what various churches are doing so we can help inspire each other! You’ll get to take your materials back at the meeting’s close.

A few extra details: We want to show you just how much you mean to us, so we'll be providing lunch for all attendees! Just bring your team and any questions you have related to your church’s guest experience. When you arrive at Eastern Star, please enter the main office door on the east side of the building.
