The truth is you are all our favorites – big churches, little churches and all the churches in between.
Almost every day, we hear stories of how God is working through the people and ministries of local churches all over the country. When we hear of your work, we celebrate in our meetings. We pray for your teams. Honestly, once in a while, we get a little choked up as we experience the power of God’s people uniting around a common purpose. It moves us, and we are grateful to work alongside you.
This year, we wanted to do something new to express our gratitude, something that would continue to propel churches forward as they strive to share their message with the world. The best way we could think of to do that was through Fishhook University (FHU).
Through FHU, we provide training to help church leaders get on the same page, sharpen their skills and communicate more effectively. This year, we’re launching the Communications Jumpstart Grant Program to provide TeamSpeak training courses ($999 value) for leaders of smaller congregations (up to 350 in weekly worship) at no cost to the church. Seriously, it’s free.
Why smaller churches? While we know that churches of all sizes are making a Kingdom impact, we also recognize that funding professional development can be challenging in smaller congregations. We want to remove this barrier to help them "catch more" for Christ!
Given that 90% of churches in America have 350 or fewer people in worship, there is a good chance you are in a church of that size – or you know of one nearby. Feel free to spread the word!
