When we are overflowing with thankfulness, we unlock a new level of abundant life!
Reflect on these journal prompts to root yourself in gratitude today.
- What are three ways I’ve seen God show up this week?
- Who made my day better recently, and how can I show them appreciation?
- What am I excited or hopeful about, and how does that bring me gratitude right now?

May they be filled up with you - with your love, your grace, your joy and your hope. Then, out of that fullness, may your Spirit move in and around us - in all of our relationships, churches and communities this Easter. May people see our hope and be open to your Holy Spirit in fresh. powerful ways.

"These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full." - John 15:11
Journal Prompts:
Having more joy starts with being content and present. Use these journal prompts to notice the joy in and around you:
- How can I intentionally notice and thank God for the joy in my life? (Start by listing 10 simple things in God’s creation that bring you joy – like a sunrise, the sound of birds, or laughter with a friend)
- When’s a time I felt deep joy? How did I sense God’s presence in that moment?
- What’s a joyful experience I hope to have in the future? How can I invite God into that hope and trust Him with the outcome?
Prayer:
A prayer for you from our Fishhook team
Lord, thank you for giving us access to connect with you at any time of the day. I pray that as church leaders/staff are serving you so faithfully, even in times that feel hectic, that they have access to you. To pause, pray and ask you to fill them with your joy and hope. I pray that they are reminded of this.
Wednesday, April 16 - Peace
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
Journal Prompts:
Take a few minutes to reflect on these prompts and invite God’s peace into your hear:
- What do I need to surrender today to receive more of God’s peace?
- What are five things I’m grateful for today? How does focusing on gratitude shift my mindset and help me experience more peace?
- What is weighing on my heart today? (Then, reflect on Philippians 4:6-7 and pray over your worries, asking God to replace them with His peace.)
Prayer Prompt:

God, I pray that those on the front lines of ministry will encounter an unexpected and luxurious amount of BEING this Easter. That even though they are working hard and juggling so much, they would be blessed with moments of peace each day where they can sit in the awe and beauty of you, Jesus. And just be.
Thursday, April 17 - Surrender

Journal Prompts:
Surrendering to Him means relying on His wisdom rather than our own. Use these journal prompts to recenter your heart on His will:

- Is there something God is calling me to do that feels difficult or unclear? How can I take a step of faith today, even without knowing the full picture?
- What fears or doubts are holding me back from fully trusting God?
