Have you ever started to tell a story and realized half way through you left out a few important details? All the sudden you find yourself stumbling over your words, trying to backtrack and fill in the blanks without starting over. You get frustrated. It was a good story, an important story, but the points you've left out have damaged the impact you had anticipated it having. 

What about a conversation where you simply feel misunderstood ... almost as if the person you're trying to talk to is speaking an entirely different language? A text or email conversation where you just can't seem to convey the correct tone? 

Communication, when done correctly, when enhanced by the proper information about who you are talking to and what they respond to, can be an incredibly powerful. But miscommunication ... can also be incredibly damaging.
