We were so excited for our design team to host this month's webinar and they definitely delivered!  We knew they would have easy tricks to help nondesigners be more creative and effective.

Our designers have worked on many different projects and they understand the kind of challenges that come with designing for various types of media and people. In this webinar, they set-up some basic principles that can be followed no matter what you are designing ... or how much design experience you have.  

Here are some tricks they taught us:

• Purpose Statement Trick: Gather and finalize all content before starting designing. This includes logos, photos and colors.
• Hierarchy Trick: Assign priority to each piece of the design. When everything is important, nothing is important.
• Type Trick: Use ALL CAPS sparingly!
• Type Trick: Clear is better than clever. Don't sacrifice legibility.
• Color Trick: "It all depends on what it's next to." Color is dependent on context. 
• Design Production Trick: Pursue excellence not perfection.
