We're celebrating Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, Indiana!

At Fishhook, we get the privilege of working alongside amazing churches and ministries doing faithful, creative and deeply meaningful work with their congregations and communities.

And we think they deserve to be celebrated.

That’s why we’re kicking off a new series — Church We’re Hooked On — where we’ll highlight the churches and ministries we love partnering with, the impact they’re making and the ways they encourage us as fellow laborers in God’s Kingdom.

First up: Kingsway Christian Church.

What is Kingsway’s connection with Fishhook?

Since 2005, Fishhook has had the privilege of partnering with Kingsway’s pastors, staff and leaders. Together, we’ve prayed, strategized, created, launched and navigated ministry opportunities and challenges through communications strategy and planning, branding work, websites, digital ministry initiatives, campaigns and so much more.

One part of this journey that is especially meaningful to our team is that when Fishhook first began working with Kingsway, we were only two years old as a company. Kingsway trusted us and partnered with us in ways that helped shape Fishhook during those early years. Our communications strategy and coaching, branding, web design services and more grew because of their trust and the many projects we collaborated on together.

We are a stronger team today because of friends and partners like Kingsway.

There have been many incredible people throughout the years at Kingsway that we’ve worked alongside. Today, we’re grateful to work ongoing with Danielle Smalley, Director of Experience; Luke Kegeris, Communications Lead; and Laura Andrew, Creative Media Specialist as well as other Kingsway leaders and staff. Their leadership, creativity and heart for ministry have made our partnership a joy.

Why are we hooked on this church?

Kingsway is focused on helping people become more like Jesus and this congregation prays and intentionally looks for opportunities to personally and corporately connect with and serve others.

Kingsway has been committed to this mission - along with the ministry priorities, discipleship (for all ages), vision casting and communications work to support it.

Which of Fishhook’s core values do they reflect?

The team at Kingsway reflects: Leading with humble and hungry hearts.

In our work together, we pray and strive to see where God is at work. We listen to each other, brainstorm and plan. We try new communications strategies and tactics. And in all of it, we're eager to follow Jesus, share His story, and help others do the same.

This humility and hunger also involves ongoing perseverance. Ministry over the course of many years is weighty. For more than two decades now, our team has seen the Kingsway team remain faithful, thoughtful and committed to the mission through many seasons of ministry.

In addition, what can other churches learn from them?

We really appreciate the culture of hospitality at Kingsway. From community events to leadership gatherings to weekend worship experiences, Kingsway has a remarkable ability to create welcoming environments where people feel seen, valued and invited to grow with others and become more like Jesus.

Hospitality doesn’t happen by accident. It takes vision, planning and intentionality. Kingsway models this well.

How are they making an impact in their community?

This church's impact is seen in the way they gather people, welcome families, encourage next steps and continue asking what God might have for them in the season ahead. They are committed to being present in their community and building meaningful relationships for people to experience the hope of Jesus.

Kingsway, thank you for your trust, friendship and partnership over the past two decades with the Fishhook team.

We are grateful for all we’ve learned and created together, and we’re excited for all that God has ahead for your church and community.

Congratulations, Kingsway. You’re officially a Church We’re Hooked On — and we’re honored to celebrate you.
