We’re celebrating one of our longtime church partners: Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington and Bedford, Ind.

At Fishhook, we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside churches that are providing meaningful ministry and work in their communities. And Sherwood Oaks is one of those churches we’ve been honored to know and partner with for many years.

Over the years, we’ve worked together with Communications Director Jim Clark and their full team on church branding, ministry sub-brands, websites, digital ministry, marketing campaigns, environmental graphics and so much more. Sherwood Oaks has trusted us with significant work - and we’re so grateful for that trust.

One of our favorite projects together was their church branding refresh in 2022.

Naming and Celebrating Who They Are Through Their Branding

As part of this branding development process, our team brought Sherwood Oaks several brand stories and logo concepts to consider, along with messaging ideas connected to their heart and priorities in ministry.

There were several good possibilities.

But as we prayed, pondered and talked together, something became clear: relationships were at the very heart of Sherwood Oaks.

Their desire was simple and profound: help people find community and help people find Jesus. And together, we realized this was the story their refreshed brand needed to elevate: Finding Your People Changes Everything.

It wasn’t something we had to create for Sherwood Oaks. It was already deeply true about who they are.

This is a church that makes time for people. They’ll share a cup of coffee, share a meal, laugh often, pray together, care for each other and simply enjoy being together.

They love their communities well - and they understand that helping people find their people can be an important part of helping them find Jesus

Why We’re Hooked

That’s one of the things we love about Sherwood Oaks: they lead with relationship.

They’ve welcomed us into important conversations, trusted us with their story and given us the opportunity to create alongside them for many years. We’ve learned from them, enjoyed the journey, and been grateful to be part of the work God is doing through their church.

Sherwood Oaks, thank you for trusting us with so much. We’re grateful for the work we’ve done together - and even more grateful for the relationships we’ve built along the way.
