Our encouragement to you (and to ourselves!) for 2026 ... Be with the Lord, be present with your people, serve with His strength, trust in His peace

As we step into 2026, we're grateful for you. Thank you for who you are and how you serve!

In this new year, our Fishhook team is praying for you, and we want to offer some encouragement to carry with you. (We're striving to live these out each day as well.)

Be with the Lord each day.

Not as another task to be done, but as a gift to warm your heart and lighten your journey.

This can be even a few moments to start your day - then walk with him all day long. Offer simple prayers, read His Word, and rest in His peace. Let Him fill you before you pour out.

Be present with your people.

Even with full schedules and busy routines, don’t miss the small moments with family and friends - they matter deeply. Ask how you can pray for their day, enjoy the meal (the simple dinner on paper plates is great!), get on the floor to play, or take a walk around the block.

You'll never regret it - and somehow, God helps us get the work done in the time we have remaining.

Serve with His strength and joy.

Our work is for the Lord - all of it - whether in our home, church, work or school!

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord" (Colossians 3:23)

Trust in His peace.

In all of our work and worship, we pray for His joy and peace! We can trust His peace to be sufficient for each one of us, every single day.

"And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him." (Romans 15:13).
