That’s why we’re thrilled to name Jodi Janssen as our latest Honorary Fishhooker of the Every Other Month!

Jodi serves as the Communications Director at Central Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Continue reading to get to know a bit more about her! 

What is Jodi's connection with Fishhook?

Jodi led the charge on a recent custom website development project for Central Church. From day one, the Fishhook team knew we were in great hands working with her.

Jodi brought a fresh, strategic perspective from her background in agency work and guided the process with care, insight and passion. It was a joy to collaborate with her and the result is a digital home that reflects Central’s vibrant, Christ-centered culture.

Which of Fishhook's core values does Jodi most reflect?

Definitely W.O.O.—she creates momentum and meaningful connection wherever she goes. Add in a dose of Skilz (her agency background shows!), and a Ta-Da! spirit that makes working with her a total joy. 

Jodi has a natural way of lifting others up and drawing out their best ideas. She’s collaborative, clear and kind, and her presence makes every meeting better. She’s also not afraid to ask smart questions or bring a new perspective to the table, which helped make our project together a success.

If you were describing Jodi to someone who has never met her, what would you say?

She’s one of those rare people who brings both agency-level strategy and execution and the warmth and authenticity of someone deeply rooted in her church community.

She’s fun, energetic, full of ideas and deeply committed to the mission of Jesus. And let’s be honest—her daughters’ names are some of the cutest we’ve ever heard.

If someone had an hour to spend with Jodi, what would you recommend they pick her brain about?

What has Jodi's impact been on the Church at large?

Jodi is helping shape a Church that’s clear, welcoming and grounded in the gospel. She is elevating the way Central Church communicates online while also building a brand that’s approachable and authentic.

She's also equipping her team to serve well. Her leadership is helping more people connect to the local church ... and ultimately, to the hope of Jesus.
