This month’s award goes to … Shae Lawson!

What is Shae’s connection with Fishhook?

Shae is the Communications Director at Radiant Bible Church in Avon, Indiana, and our paths first crossed when Radiant (then Harvest Bible Chapel Indy West) started a church renaming and rebranding journey.

Since then, our connection has only grown! Most recently, we partnered with Shae and the Radiant team on branding and communications for their church plant.

Every time we connect with Shae we leave feeling energized and inspired!

Which of Fishhook’s core values does she most reflect?

This one is easy: Skilz & W.O.O.! At Fishhook, we define Skilz as our expertise that challenges clients to catch more and W.O.O. as relationships that ignite energy and momentum.

Shae has an incredible mix of strategy and creativity. She sees what's possible for her church and helps others see it, too.

At our most recent Table event, Shae jumped in to encourage and brainstorm with another church leader who needed a little vision boost. Shae asked thoughtful questions, offered insight and gently nudged them forward with encouragement. That’s just who she is.

Shae’s not just smart and strategic, she’s also the kind of fun that instantly lifts a room. Whether she’s dreaming up new ways to engage her congregation or sharing a good laugh, she brings joy and momentum wherever she goes!

If someone had half an hour to spend with her, what should they ask Shae about?

Ask Shae how she thinks about making ministry communications clear and compelling, especially in a growing church context. She’s walking that road right now with her own team, and she has wisdom and practical ideas for balancing consistency, creativity and collaboration.

And honestly? Just hang out and let her talk about the things she’s dreaming about. Her energy is contagious ... in the best way!

What has Shae’s impact been on the Church at large?

Shae is playing a key role in shaping Radiant’s voice and impact in their community and also in helping their church plant get started.

She’s thinking about how to reach people who may not be inside the church yet, how to disciple the people already there and how to communicate with grace and excellence in a world full of noise. 

We’re incredibly grateful for Shae’s partnership and perspective in our world and for the Church.
